The Car Specially Designed for People in Wheelchairs

One of the biggest problems faced by the persons who suffer from certain types of handicaps, which force them to use wheelchairs, is that of the
transport. It's quite true that they are able to drive, but those vehicles are just normal ones with modified controls, so they're not so easy to use. But the Hungarians from the Rehab Company have come up with a solution to this problem, by designing a car especially for the people in wheelchairs, namely the Kenguru.

Kenguru is a small electrical car which doesn't have any chairs, but just a huge central space in which a wheelchair can roll in. The user enters the car through the huge backdoor, and then locks the wheelchair into some specially designed supports. The car can be driven quite easily, by using a joystick, which centers all the controls.

Since it's powered by batteries, the Kenguru is quite environmentally friendly, but this really affects its overall capacities. Thus, the car has an autonomy of around 60 kilometers, and reaches a maximum speed of 40 de km/h. It costs around 12.500 dollars, but can be obtained for free with healthcare if an individual qualifies.
