The Ministry of Children and Family Development has a lot on its plate after several documents containing client names, addresses and health card numbers were found in a trash bin behind an apartment building.

According to CTV News, it's not yet clear how they ended up there, but the main suspect is a former employee who left the institution several months ago.

"The priority is to identify those people whose privacy may have been breached and to inform them as quickly as possible," revealed a ministry representative, Mary Polak. "We will continue to work closely with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner."

At first it was believed that the information found in the documents couldn't affect anyone, but it later turned out that they contained tons of private data. An investigation in underway.
