For the first time in the
Buzz! history, you will be able to take the quiz show wherever you want - always keeping it around in case you feel the urge to
answer some tricky questions. And all these because Sony has decided to release Buzz! Quiz Mater on the
PSP handheld consoles.
The game will bring you an incredible number of 5,000 questions on topics including music, celebrities, TV, sport, science, nature, movies and general knowledge, together with 1,000 licensed pictures and video assets. Also, six new round types will be featured in Buzz! Quiz Master, some of them being the time-challenge "Quickfire Challenge", the picture-puzzle "Picture This" or the "Virus Challenge".
Since all the Buzz! games focused more on the multiplayer experience rather than the sad, solitary one, the PSP version is not different, offering three multiplayer modes to test your quiz skills against your friends. For example, there will be the Pass Around mode, where only one PSP is needed - you'll pass it from player to player. To make it even more exciting, some rounds will allow you to select the player you'll pass the console to after knowing the question's subject matter.
Also, game sharing is supported with up to four players being able to connect multiple PSPs and enjoy the same copy (yes, you could say that in some circumstances, the game is 75% cheaper - if you decide to buy it together with your friends, for example). The multi-PSP game modes are Fastest Finger and the Quiz Host.
Of course, the single player mode is bigger and better than ever, presenting players with a series of 15 different quiz challenges. Definitely a must for all quiz lovers - even though a release date has not been set, Sony confirmed that Buzz! Quiz Master will be released this spring, which further means that we'll see it sometime during next month.
