The game is already available in Steam Early Access

Publisher Nordic Games has just announced that the release of sequel of The Book of Unwritten Tales point & click adventure game has been set to February 20.

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 has been initially slated for a January 30, 2015, launch, but since developers need more time for polish, the release date has been moved back by three weeks to February 20.

On a side note, the game was successfully funded on Kickstarter back in March 2014, and even managed to achieve a few stretch goals which should make it even better.

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 will be launched on Steam, GOG and other digital retail stores. Since the game is already available on Steam Early Access, fans of the adventure games genre can just go ahead and pick it up now because on February 20, the fifth and last chapter of the saga will be released.

An exclusive Almanac Edition will be launched on the same date as well

But this is not all there is about the launch of The Book of Unwritten Tales 2. According to developers, the folks over at KING Art Games, some additional finishing touches will be included in the game as well.

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 will be released for PC, Mac and Linux, in both digital and classic boxed version. Moreover, as a special bonus, the game will also be launched in a DRM-free Almanac Edition, an exclusive edition whose packaging is modelled like a hardcover book.

The package will include a 104-page hardback artbook, making-of DVD, the orchestral soundtrack on CD, a double sided poster and the exclusive in-game content “Color Your Critter” where players can color Nate’s popular sidekick in-game in their favorite color.

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is now available on Steam Early Access for €29.99 and provides access to four out of five chapters of the game.
