The Blue Raven technologies, a leading provider of video consumer electronics introduced the lower priced 7" all in all portable media player with built-in DVR.

The new Media Mate 7000 series is a new product line of portable all
in one media DVR players. It is the first technology to combine built-in DVR capabilities with a large vibrant 7" digital color screen, so generous that is perfect for watching movies, playing favorite tracks, browsing photos and voice recording, wherever you go.

The player is the most user-friendly 7" mp4 player on the market, featuring a lightweight, compact design and quite a highly intuitive user interface. The newly MediaMate series is available in a 40 GB model at a low suggested retail price of $379, and an additional 80GB model, which is capable of holding up to 100 hours of DVD-quality video, for a spicy $429.

Blue Raven's President Glen Kashgegian stated that: "Blue Raven designed this product by prioritizing the features consumers care about most: price, ease of use, and a clear, large picture and by bringing these key features together into the MediaMate, we believe this is the first product to make portable media players a viable category for most consumers."

With its built-in DVR capabilities, travelling TV buffs can record a program directly from their TV or TIVO to the MediaMate. The 40GB version of the player can record up to 50 movies or over 11,000 songs while the 80GB version can record up to 100 movies (700 MB on average) or store 22,000 songs or 80,000 photos.

Unlike many successful competitive devices on the market, the MediaMate also has a convenient 3 in 1 card reader to facilitate the transfer of files, pictures and songs.
