Owning a personal blog is hip nowadays and there are many users who administer one, two and even more such online diaries.

From what we know so far, it seems that such a blog can easily turn into a profitable business, so, obviously, there are also users who read the blogs, not only write them. The question is how many.

Forrester Research has carried out a study, which says that 10% of the Internet users read at least once a day a blog. Although the figure is far from being impressive, it can still be considered an improvement compared to 2004, when only 5% read a blog.

The RSSs are also more popular. If in 2004, only 2% of the users used this format, in 2005, their number increased by 6%.

The social network sites, such as Friendster.com and MySpace.com, have also increased in popularity, the number of users visiting them increasing from 4% to 6%.

The RSSs could rapidly boost in popularity after Windows Vista is launched, because the operating system will include native support for this format.
