Cliff Bleszinski, the designer responsible for cult hits like Gears of War, has confirmed that he has invested in the Oculus Rift Virtual Reality headset.

He has even emphasized that, while it's great that titles are being ported for the Rift, the best experiences will be the games made specifically for it.

The Oculus Rift caught the gaming world by storm after a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign, and now the virtual reality headset is getting ready to be released all around the world this summer.

Among the investors in the project is Cliff Bleszinski, the retired Epic Games designer, and he told Engadget that the best VR experiences will be the ones that are created with the headset in mind.

"The best experiences for that product will be made for it. It's the one that excites me the most because I believe in the vision of VR."

Bleszinski isn't directly involved in the project, but he has faith in the Oculus team and will continue to promote it in the industry.
