High-quality images depicting Apple’s upcoming campus

Since 2011, the media has been gushing at the Apple Campus 2 renderings waiting anxiously for the enormous circular building to finally take shape. Starting last year, it did.

There’s not much to be seen yet. Well, technically there is, but it’s mostly construction materials scattered around a huge ring of dug up dirt. However, if you do want to see what the finished project will look like, all you need to do is head on over to apple.com/about/job-creation/ and scroll down a bit. But we’ll spare you the trip there if you decide to hit up our own gallery below.

High-res renderings

You’ll notice that these renders are not the same as the ones released when Steve Jobs pitched the project to the City of Cupertino. Or at least not of the same quality. The first one shows the outside of the building at sunset with some lush vegetation around and people strolling on the corridors, behind the huge slabs of glass that act like walls for the building.

In the second image, we’re on the inside area of the ring-shaped building: the inner garden, also packed to the brim with trees. The artist who made these renditions imagined the vegetation reflecting off the glass, making it appear as if the building is transparent from end to end. It won’t be. Flowers are scattered everywhere, including lots of poppies. It’s like we’re looking at a high-tech garden of Eden. We’re sure it won’t look quite like this when it’s finished, though.

The third image seems to depict the cafeteria, as well as a recreation area where employees get to sit, eat, drink a soda, read, play games, socialize, etc. Even here there are copious amounts of vegetation.

The last picture is also the most glorious one of all. It depicts the finished spaceship building from afar, light bouncing off the grandiose structure whose roof is covered in solar panels.

We sincerely hope the projections are realistic. Anyone would give an arm and a leg to work in that building.
