While in July rumor had it that the most trendy couple in business is looking for a home in Los Angeles, it never went beyond that. But now, a friend of the couple has spoken to 'People' Magazine and he claims that he knows for a fact that the Beckhams will move to the United States... and soon.
According to the source, David is on very good terms with the tycoon Philip Anschuzt who, despite having sold his stake in the New York Red Bulls, still has enough connections to get him a $100 million deal to play on the team and help soccer become a national sport in America too. But, if that were ever to happen, the deal would have to go down after David's stay with Real Madrid would end.
David is not the only one with an interest in the US. Victoria also has some big plans for the future, including a fashion television show, under the direction and with the help of the former manager of the Spice Girls, Simon Fuller. The show will mean many millions in a fashion line and, as a plus, establishing Victoria as the ultimate fashion icon.
The magazine 'People' also claims that Posh and Becks are looking for a house not in Los Angeles, but in the exclusive area of Hamptons, outside New York and that they are already busy with looking up for adequate schools for their three sons.
The Beckhams' further plans include: accepting their friend's (Tom Cruise) offer of appearing in movies and maybe of doing a biopic about their lives thus far, and buying a private jet, worth about $2 million, as they do not want to sever ties with England completely.
In conclusion, the source added: 'If things go as David and Victoria plan, they will spend most of their time in the States and the children will go to school there. There is no shortage of good schools in and around New York. [...] They will never let go of their UK ties completely'.
