Never purchase anything that's advertised via spam

One of the latest spam campaigns advertises a couple of DVDs that allegedly contain all the songs ever made by The Beatles. While there may be nothing malicious about these emails, purchasing the “Box Set 2012” is similar to buying a Rolex watch that only costs 99.99 from a shady site.

Graham Cluley reports that the emails that advertise the “The Beatles Re-Mastered 2012 Box Set” are designed for Spanish speakers and they promote all sorts of Beatles materials, including mini-documentaries.

“In short, if you purchase goods like this advertised to you via spam - you're not only encouraging the spammers to flood your inbox some more, but you're also preventing Messrs McCartney and Starr, and the families of Lennon and Harrison from receiving their rightful earnings for their musical genius,” Cluley wrote.

Users are advised never to buy anything that’s advertised via spam or any other form of aggressive marketing, not only because the products may be illegally manufactured, but also because they’re of low quality.
