Sony Ericsson J132, one of the new entry-level handsets recently presented by the Swedish-Japanese company, has now an official video demo that showcases the handset's best features: the dust resistant keypad and FM radio with RDS and a quick-access key.

The J132 is a candybar that was unveiled on June 17, together with another basic phone, the K330, as well as with more advanced handsets like the C905 Cyber-shot slider.

Besides packing FM radio and a worry-free keypad, the J132 also brings the following features: a 1.5 inch CSTN display with 128 x 128 pixels and 65K colors, a loudspeaker, radio alarm clock, handsfree kit, torch function (allowing you to bring light in dark environments), predictive text input, polyphonic ringtones, calendar, calculator and several other basic functions. The candybar weighs 2.7 ounces (76 grams) and measures 4.1 x 1.8 x 0.6 inches (103 x 45 x 15 millimeters), hence it's quite small and lightweight - attributes that make entry-level phones more attractive.

Sony Ericsson J132 will be available in two versions, an 850 / 1800 MHz GSM one for the Americas and a 900 / 1800 MHz GSM one for the rest of the world. Unfortunately, the handset doesn't come with EDGE and not even GPRS, but after all it's a device that was not made for data transfers.

All in all, if you need a small, basic and resistant handset, the J132 from Sony Ericsson seems to be a good choice. Now, all you have to do is wait for the phone to become available - sometime in the fourth quarter of the year, for a retail price that will probably be around $100 (65 Euros) or even less. Until then, feel free to check out the short (and quite colored) video promo with the black and the white J132:
