The game is designed to bring back classic dungeon crawling

The development team at inXile is announcing that it will introduce a unique offer for all those who are willing to back its upcoming Kickstarter campaign for The Bard's Tale IV during the initial 24 hour period, allowing them to get free access to one of the following titles: Wasteland 2, the original The Witcher, or The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

There are a couple of catches with the offer, though: gamers will have to pledge to support the coming title at one of the levels that's above 20 dollars (18 Euro) and the free video game will only be offered once the money is actually collected by the development team when the crowdfunding period is done.

The official Kickstarter for The Bard's Tale IV will be launched at 6 AM Pacific Standard Time on June 2.

The video game is designed to offer a classic dungeon crawling experience, with party-based elements, capable enemies, and a solid mix of combat sequences and puzzles.

Brian Fargo, the leader of inXile, states, "This is our way to show our gratitude to those who continue to support us. We’re also very happy to be working with our friends at CD Projekt, who have shown they understand the right way to treat your fans!"

Free video games are a good way to attract attention

The Wasteland 2 keys that are offered to backers will be offered for either Steam or GOG, and the title will be an interesting experience for those who want a new take on the post-apocalyptic genre, with some engaging battles and cool story moments.

The original Witcher and Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings focus on Geralt and his adventures, with a solid fantasy-focused world and a surprisingly engaging cast of characters.

Keys for the titles will be redeemable on GOG.

The 24-hour backing offer is a good way for inXile to attract the attention of those who might contribute and secure a pledge from them.

If The Bard's Tale IV manages to attract enough attention during the first day it is offered on Kickstarter, it's very likely that it will reach its funding goal and will enter production.
