Just in case you were wondering which was the most searched movie online this year, wonder no more: Bing has just released its yearly list of Most Searched, and “The Avengers” is sitting pretty at number 1.

Directed by Joss Whedon and received relatively warmly by the critics community (for a superhero movie), “The Avengers” was a huge hit with fans, breaking records at the box office.

As such, it’s probably not that surprising to find it at number 1 on Bing’s Most Searched Movies list.

Chris Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises” and James Cameron 3D re-release of “The Titanic” are up next, on the second and third position, respectively.

The complete stats are below. It might be a bit early to say this, but here’s to a 2013 at least as good as this year!

Most Searched Movies:

1. “The Avengers” 2. “Dark Knight Rises” 3. “Titanic 3D” 4. “Magic Mike” 5. “Prometheus” 6. “Breaking Dawn Part 2” 7. “Flight” 8. “Bachelorette” 9. “Snow White and the Huntsman” 10. “Dark Shadows”
