Adrian Chmielarz, the director and co-owner of the new Astronauts studio, says that his team appreciates the experience they gained working on the Gears of War franchise with Epic Games.

He tells Gamesindustry that “We had a blast working on the foundation for Gears of War: Judgment, but after our part was done we just thought it’s time for us to go for, to quote Monty Python, ‘something completely different.’ Quite literally, as the game we’re making is not a shooter.”

At the moment The Astronauts is working on a game called The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.

Gamers will be able to become a supernatural detective who is able to actually see crime scenes and thereby quickly identify the victims and the attackers.

The game will follow him as he's trying to solve the kidnapping of a little boy.
