Some of you may remember when the Ghostbusters movie was first released. That means that you must be at least 35.

In 1984, this American supernatural comedy starring Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Bill Murray was taking the world by storm. 30 years later, the franchise is still making money for many people, including app developers. Last week, Ghostbusters was reissued in a remastered 4K version for its anniversary.

The new app selection in the AppStore has five different categories: Games, Apps, Movies and Comics, and if you are a fan of the movie, you will love each and every one of them.

There are two games with the logo of the movie: Ghostbusters Paranormal Blast and another one, simply called Ghostbusters. They are both free, but they offer in-app purchases.

Paranormal Blast was named "The best augmented reality app" back in 2014, and it can be yours for free as part of the 30-year anniversary. The app is kind of like a portal to a ghost-filled world. You watch your own rooms and see ghosts that you have to shoot. Once they give up haunting the place you are in, you can steer the ghosts into a virtual trap. The app will ask your permission to use your location so it can show you ghosts on a map around your place. You will enjoy the retina graphics even more as you advance through the game.

Respawnables is another game that celebrates the 30-year anniversary, and your job is the same: go through the 185 single missions and shoot your enemies.

Path is your social network-like app that lets you follow and be followed by other users as you post pictures, stickers and locations. Sure you can share your posts to other social networks, but you can also stay within Path, and only your close friends will be able to see what you write. You may ask what is the connection between Path and the Ghostbusters. Well, they have just added a cool new sticker pack with thousands of new ones related to the movie.

When it comes to movies, iTunes offers "Ghostbusters," "Ghostbusters 2," and you can get all of them as a special-priced bundle. The first one has the iTunes Extras package with special short movies and deleted scenes.

The iBookstore has a nice collection of comics on the same theme, and to top it off you have two albums that feature the music from the two movies. As expected, Ray Parker Jr.'s song is the most popular one.
