Everyone likes a good-looking weather app and it’s really hard to come by one that’s ugly, but The Weather Channel has decided to take things to a whole new level and make theirs stand out.

Officially the best looking weather app in the App Store today, at least in our eyes, The Weather Channel 4.0.0 for iPad has been redesigned to closely match the look and feel of Apple’s iOS 7 software, complete with some smashing backgrounds that match your current weather conditions.

The app offers detailed weather conditions with “feels like” temperature, sunrise time, sunset time, wind speed, humidity, UV index, visibility, dew point, and pressure, and features fast and accurate maps with past and future radar and customizable layers.

Users get notified of severe weather conditions in their area with push alerts and badges, while the severe weather mode activates a ticker at the top of the interface during a severe event.

“If the event is a hurricane, you can click the alert to see our interactive hurricane tracker,” says the developer. The app further offers weather news about big storms and bizarre findings, and even statewide flu levels and pollen forecasts. Download The Weather Channel 4.0.0 app for iPad and give it a try today.
