14 DAY TRIAL // Shortly after the first theatrical trailer for “The Amazing Spider-Man” came out, word also emerged online of the existence of a viral campaign. Above is the first video from it.
Called Mark of the Spider-Man, the viral campaign also boasts an official website and an YouTube account, the latter being used to launch a new clip.
Preceding the scene in the trailer where Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) visits Gwen Stacy by going into her apartment through the window, by the fire escape, the clip shows a very geeky-looking Peter facing off a stubborn doorman.
There is not even the slightest hint of Spider-Man in it, since Peter takes center stage – and he does a very good job at being Peter Parker, if you're to listen to voices online.
“The Amazing Spider-Man” also stars Emma Stone as Gwen, Rhys Ifans as the villain, Martin Sheen and Sally Field, and Denis Leary.
