Though we’ve seen plenty other teasers and trailers for this fresh installment in the rebooted Spider Man franchise, this is by far the most cohesive and, because of it, the most interesting.
It still features plenty of action scenes, especially towards the end, with explosions and dangerous stunts but, for the better part, it’s all about setting the mood by presenting the new life Spidey has had to grow accustomed to.
Electro is the one villain of the three Spider-Man will be facing who gets the most attention, but that’s because we get a background as well.
Directed by Marc Webb, “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” will be out in theaters on May 2, 2014. It sees Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone reprise their roles from the first installment, with Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, and Paul Giamatti also making appearances.
