14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Beenox and publisher Activision are delivering a new trailer for their upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which is designed to show fans of the comic book character the kinds of villains that they will need to face in the new title.
As the name implies, the footage is focused on the Kingpin, the criminal mastermind who wants the superhero eliminated, but it also includes Black Cat, one of the more ambivalent characters of the world of Spider-Man.
The developers explain that, “she's not the only threat: as Peter Parker struggles to master his potential, deadly new foes like Electro are taking aim at Spidey, just as an old friend has a diabolical change of heart.”
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is designed to use an open world structure, with the player able to navigate the universe via web slinging, and will expand on the combat mechanics seen in the first title in the series.
The events of the game will complement those of the movie with the same name.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be launched on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, current-gen consoles, the PC, the Wii U and mobile devices on April 29 in the United States and three days later in Europe.
