They hold meetings, they stage demonstrations against Valentine’s Day and they hate people who are in a relationship

American rock singer Pat Benatar really was on to something when she announced to the world that love was a battlefield. Case in point: the so-called Alliance of Men That Women Are Not Attracted To that's been operating in Japan for years now.

The Alliance, founded by a guy named Katsuhiro Furusawa back in 2006, is basically a group of men that, well, no woman wants to date. Mind you, these guys aren't just playing the revolutionaries.

No, Sir, they take this whole protesting romantic love agenda seriously. They hold meeting, they stage demonstrations and they are anything but shy about expressing how they feel about people who happen to be in a relationship.

You guessed it: they absolutely and irrevocably hate these people. In fact, it sometimes happens that, during one protest or another, they yell at the top of their lungs that they wish all these romantics would just disappear off the face of the Earth.

How the Alliance was born

Surprise, surprise, cured and completely immunized romantic Katsuhiro Furusawa started this Alliance of Men That Women Are Not Attracted To after being dumped by his girlfriend.

The man says that, after this happened, he took some time to read Karl Marx's “Communist Manifesto,” just to calm his nerves. At one point, he had an epiphany and realized that what his girlfriend did to him was a form of discrimination.

One thought led to another, and eventually, Katsuhiro Furusawa came to the conclusion that his and other guys' not being liked by girls was an issue of class. Soon enough, he founded the Alliance to fight the injustice of this status quo.

Interestingly enough, Oddity Central tells us that the Revolutionary Alliance of Men That Women Are Not Attracted To now has thousands of members. It kind of makes you wonder who is left for women in Japan to date.

These guys hate romantic holidays

“The blood-soaked conspiracy of Valentine’s Day, driven by the oppressive chocolate capitalists, has arrived once again,” members of this revolutionary group wrote in a statement regarding a protest they organized to mark this year's February 14.

“Call for solidarity among unloved comrades, so that we may demonstrate in resolute opposition to Valentine’s Day and the romantic industrial complex,” this statement further reads.

That's right, these guys seriously hate Valentine’s Day and whatever other romantic holidays people in happy relationships like to celebrate. In fact, they are not big fans of Christmas either, simply because people tend to get all mushy around this time of the year.

By staging protests whenever such holidays come around, the members of the Revolutionary Alliance hope to raise awareness of the injustices of the dating world, maybe even pave the way for a romance-free future.
