Later this month, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is expected to make official its next flagship Android-based smartphone, which will supposedly arrive on the market under the name of “All New HTC One,” and which has emerged in a leaked hands-on video.

The clip is 12 minutes long and gets us though some of the main changes that HTC has made to this device when compared to last year’s HTC One, despite the fact that it might not be the best hands-on video out there.

The All New HTC One is being compared to the current flagship smartphone from the company a few times in this video, and it’s pretty clear that it will feature a larger size, just as previously rumored.

Moreover, we also get the chance to have a closer look at the Sense 6.0 UI and at some of the features that it will bring along, such as the updated Blinkfeed, and the like.

The smartphone is said to be a developer unit, though it runs under Android 4.4 KitKat. The fact that it actually shows lag when launching some applications confirms that it is not a final retail unit.

Other details that are unveiled in the clip include the previously rumored microSD memory card slot, the twin cameras on the back of the phone, which are accompanied by dual-LED flash, and the dual-speakers on the front.

The video uploader calls the handset HTC M8, which suggests that HTC might have not set in stone the final name for the device. However, recently leaked branding from the company suggests that it might indeed be called the All New HTC One when launched.

At first, we had doubts that the device detailed in the clip was the real deal, but tweets coming from HTC Senior Global Online Communications Manager Jeff Gordon appear to confirm its legitimacy, as phonearena notes.

To be more precise, Gordon took his time to warn the video’s uploader, named Roshan Jamkatel, that he made a mistake by posting all these details on a yet unannounced smartphone.

Said uploader responded by saying that the phone is fake, but Gordon continues by warning him that HTC has all the necessary info on the handset’s IMEI and the like, and that they will contact the user on the matter.

The original video has been removed from the uploader’s YouTube account, but it has been re-uploaded and is once again available for your viewing pleasure. You can also have a look at some screenshots from the video, in case it gets removed again.
