Enraged by the fact that their car was scratched in a parking lot, four students at the Canadian York University have decided to invent a more special alarm, Globeandmail.com informs.
Don't think that the alarm punishes the thief or something like that; it just takes a picture of the perpetrator, which is sent afterwards to the owner of the
car.
For this, the system invented by Mina Gendi, Tristan Carvelho, Eugene Oulman and Quingyang Kong uses two video mini-cams, which are activated by a motion sensor. The images are stored then on the hard disk, which is placed in the car. From here, they are sent to the owner.
The four inventors are not planning to patent their alarm system, Globeandmail.com comments, because not all cars are fitted with a computer system; without one, their system is futile.
It wouldn't be a surprise if we saw the four investors managing some alarm system corporation a few years from now.
