At first sight, the radio controlled projection clock RMR939 from Oregon Scientific might seem just an advanced alarm clock that can also project time, anywhere on a wall or ceiling.
But its developers thought that all of this simply wasn't enough, so they've decided to add another interesting feature: a sensor that triggers the clock's alarm whenever it detects some sort of motion in its range of action.
The manufacturers claim that this clock offers a certain level of safety and comfort, it can also be used for keeping an eye on children or older persons, and in order not to cause the alarm to go off at the most unpleasant of hours, the sensor can be turned off for certain periods of time.

But let's see the list of specifications of this clock fitted with a motion sensor:
- detects all the movement through a PIR motion sensor;
- when motion is detected, signal will be sent to Clock unit; Clock will give out alert signal.
- PIR sensor coverage reference: 90; 5 meter in distance.
- Motion sensor can be set to only operate during certain hours.
- Transmits up to 30m from sensor to base.
- Radio Controlled Clock with calendar.
- 5 user selectable polyphonic alarm sounds, 2 volume levels.
- 2 minute dual alarm with 8 minute snooze function.
- Projects time and alarm status on ceiling or vertical wall.
- Indoor Temperature display.
- Indoor temperature measuring range: -5C to +50.0C.
- Temperature resolution : 0.1C.
- Temperature display in C or F (user selectable).
- Manual focus control for projected image.
- 180 rotation for image reversal.
- 180 tiltable projection head for positioning the projected image vertically or horizontally.
- Remote PIR Movement DetectorSleep timer facilty with 6 soothing sounds.
