Cancer is one of the world's worst maladies, killing hundreds, if not thousands of people each year. And in order to help the fight against this terrible disease, an increasingly higher number of companies launch special campaigns (and products) that will benefit the research against cancer both with funds and by raising the level of awareness regarding this issue. The latest such company is ATP, which just announced its partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure with the creation of ATP's Pink Ribbon Special Edition of its Petito USB drive series.

Thus, according to the company's statement, a percentage of the retail sales price of this product will be used to support the organization in funding research and supporting education, screening and treatment projects in communities around the world. The Pink Ribbon Special Edition Petito USB Drive is available through Staples, Target, Costco, and other ATP retailers' channels in capacities of 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB.

"As a leader in the technology marketplace, we were excited about taking the initiative in contributing to this important cause," said Michael Plaksin, ATP Vice President of Sales. "The Pink Ribbon Special Edition of our Petito USB Drive presents an opportunity for our consumers to make a change in someone's life and proudly display their support of this critically important cause. With this innovative device, they have the unique ability to keep the all the memories of their loved ones, who have been affected by the disease, close at all times."

The Susan G. Komen for the Cure movement started up as a promise made by Nancy G. Brinker to her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, the organization has invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill the aforementioned promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
