ASRock has officially rolled out its first Intel X58-based motherboard, which has been specifically built to provide users with a high level of performance. Suggestively dubbed the ASRock X58 SuperComputer, the new board offers support for LGA1366 Core i7 processors and the latest in high-end computer components. According to the company, the new X58 SuperComputer will be showcased at this year's CeBIT show in Hanover, Germany, starting on March 3, 2009.

There are a number of motherboard builders that have already revealed their own motherboard designs, based on Intel's new X58 chipset, but ASRock's X58 SuperComputer is said to provide the features of Intel's high-end chipset in a form factor that is more affordable, compared to its competitors. The board builds on the performance capabilities and features of Intel's X58 platform and enables support for Core i7 processors, combined with an impressive four PCI-E x16 graphics slots that boast a double-wide spacing design.

“The new X58 SuperComputer motherboard from ASRock is an excellent platform upon which to build an NVIDIA Tesla Personal Supercomputer,” said Andrew Walsh, general manager, personal supercomputing at NVIDIA. “Supporting up to 4 NVIDIA GPUs, each delivering 1 teraflop of processing power, desktop systems built around the X58 SuperComputer motherboard will accelerate the pace of discovery for scientists and engineers around the world.”

Due to be showcased at this year's CeBIT show in Hanover, Germany, the new board will be on display at the company's booth, in addition to a wide range of other products.

The motherboard maker is yet to detail its product's pricing and availability, but we should know more after the CeBIT show, early next month. The company also said that it would be partnering with Leadtek to demonstrate the performance capabilities of the X58 motherboard coupled with some NVIDIA-based graphics cards.
