Yesterday, AMD and Crytek announced the launching of the 64 bit version of the game Far Cry.

Gamers using the old, 32 bit version of the game, will certainly be enthusiastic of the new optimized 64 bit version, because the AMD 64 processors and the technology they are built upon have transformed the last year's bestselling game into an even more dazzling game which will
keep you glued to the chair", said Marty Seyer, corporate vice president and general manager of AMD Microprocessor Solutions Sector.

Experts already agree the new processing solution provided by AMD (Athlon 64 FX) is the most complete and most powerful solution aimed at games from the market", added Seyer.

Those users who invested in the AMD 64 processors, having also the software support provided by Microsoft Windows XP Pro x64 Edition, will be able to fully experience the latest version of Far Cry. The game enthusiasts will discover new zones that can be explored in scenarios, maps exclusively created for the 64 bit version and the possibility of observing details over greater distances and more natural body movements.

The patches that activate the 64 bit version of Far Cry are available at www.amd.com/farcry, and the owners of 32 bit versions of Windows XP and Far Cry can start right now to download the new game.
