LG announced the 50 inch wireless plasma display called 50PB2DW that uses wireless technology. This way, all the cables that should be connected to a TV, besides the power cord, are eliminated. A separate transmitter can connect to external sources like a video gaming console or a DVD
player. The new display will be showcased during CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in January 2006 in Las Vegas.

Thin television, with Plasma or LCD, allows its mounting on a wall, but the true problem is the cable that connects to it, which usually is unaesthetic. The present idea of using only one power cord whiles the image and the sound should be transmitted wireless is not so new, but LG is one of the first who put in practice this technology for such big equipment.

With the new 50 inch wireless plasma display LG 50PB2DW, entertainment meets functional and esthetic. The TV can be sat on a stand or it can be simply wall mounted, so that the space is uses is a very tight one. Only one cable will be visible, the power cord, but this one can be very easily hidden. Also, you can connect various devices to 50PB2DW, like DVD players, computers, mobile phones and also video gaming consoles like Microsoft's new Xbox 360.
