Microsoft’s Surface Pro tablet comes not only with the full version of Windows 8 Pro, but also with a 4-hour battery life that’s said to be a real setback for plenty of users.

Now Microsoft is criticized for its decision to offer such a reduced battery life straight from the inside, as a company partner explained in a statement that users should really stay away from this device.

“That would be like an electric car that only goes 10 miles and then you have to plug it in. Four-hour battery life stifles productivity. I can't recommend a 4-hour device even if it has a nice keyboard. Microsoft has to fix the battery life problem with Surface Pro,” a Microsoft partner, who asked not to be named, told CRN.

And still, Microsoft continues to bet big on the Surface Pro, so the company is making it available in several new markets, while also launching other models to appeal to a broader customer range.
