The Coachella Music Festival might be a good opportunity for many to come out and enjoy some good music and good parties (although it's been claimed that the festival hasn't been about the music for years), but it's also a great opportunity for celebs to see and be seen.

This year, there have been sightings galore and, with them, there have also been many scandals, because, let's face it, celebrities like to be controversial every day of the year, so why should this day be different.

The Music

As far as the music goes, the line-up for the 2014 Coachella included Outkast, Muse and Arcade Fire. People were really looking forward to Outkast playing on the stage again, as this was regarded as their getting back together gig, but they were disappointed when their performance was cut short by technical difficulties on Friday night.

The mood was made better by a surprise performance from Pharrell Williams who came to stage to sing his famous hit “Happy” together with Snoop Dogg, Puff Daddy and Gwen Stefani. Also surprising was Beyonce's impromptu appearance on stage to support her sister Solange.

Surprise acts kept coming up all the way through Sunday, when a very energetic Justin Bieber showed up on stage alongside Chance the Rapper to perform their collaboration song “Confident.”

The Scandals

Let's start with the big ones, like Leonardo DiCaprio's alleged wild dance moves that have been caught on camera. Though it wasn't proven that it was really DiCaprio that was busting crazy moves, a short video exposes a man of his height and build, wearing similar clothes but with his face covered, manically waving about his hands and feet.

The press quickly jumped to the conclusion that the masked man was indeed DiCaprio who had been seen in the area, and assumed that he was just looking to let off some Steam with his violent dance routine. It's a known fact that Leo is big on dancing as displayed in his famous wedding scene from “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

Coachella was also the place where Paris Hilton and Kelly Osborne reignited their ongoing feud. The entire incident was sparked by the fact that Kelly felt Paris ignored her completely and pretended not to see her at a party. Kelly blasted Paris on Twitter to say that she was immature which turned Paris to respond that she honestly didn't notice the Osborne girl, despite the fact that she has bright purple hair.

For Kendall Jenner, Coachella was a place to flaunt her long and beautiful legs, but also a place where she almost got attacked by a female festivalgoer. The woman came up to Kendall and began raising her arms aggressively while reportedly shouting obscenities at her. She was quickly pushed out of the way by Kendall's bodyguard and the model strolled away peacefully.

The Hookups

But it wasn't all bad, there was also some good at this year's Coachella. As Hillary Duff proved, when she showed up with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie, sparking rumors that they were getting back together.

The same reunion card was also used when referring to Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. Though these two weren't spotted together, they were both present at the event, and it was speculated that Selena did wait for Justin backstage after he finished his performance. In the meantime, Selena hung out with BFF Vanessa Hudgens, looking very much in the spirit of things, as they paraded in some very shabby chic outfits.

A very big question mark arose when Katy Perry and best pal Robert Pattinson appeared at the same party, despite the fact that they arrived separately and did their best not to draw attention to themselves. Robert is a usual presence at Coachella, but people thought that he would use this chance to rekindle his relation to Kristen Stewart. He did not, preferring to hang out with Katy.

Now that they're both single and Katy is said to be leaning on Robert for moral support after her breakup from John Mayer, the couple alarm bells have been ringing incessantly. The jury is still out on that.

The Sightings

Among all the aforementioned stars that stood out in one way or another at this year's Coachella festival, there were several other famous people that also came out but managed to be a little more low key.

For example, people would have missed actors Aaron Paul and Kellan Lutz were it not for their photobombing of a random couple in a photo that ended up on the internet. Lindsay Lohan also showed up and uncharacteristically managed not to draw that much attention to her, apart from the fact that people say she fell off the wagon, again.

Many other models, musicians, actors and socialites also showed up for the music and the A-list parties. Whoever didn't get mentioned this week, better step up their game in hopes of catching next week's performance as Coachella is scheduled to run towards the end of this week too.
