Announced by Virgin Mobile USA more than one month ago, the new entry-level Kyocera TNT! is now available for purchase across the States. The handset's price is of only $20, hence it's clear that its target is represented by users who get along well with affordable devices.

The name of the new Kyocera phone stands for Talk N' Text, and that's about all its owners can do with it. Coming in a clamshell form factor, the TNT! has a "soft-to-the-touch feel" and looks quite elegant for a device so cheap.

Kyocera TNT!'s features include: an external and an internal display, Web browsing capabilities, two-way speakerphone and a battery capable of lasting up to 200 minutes in talk-time mode or up to five days in stand-by mode. The explosive-named handset weighs only 2.78 ounces (79 grams) and, when not flipped, it measures 3.5 x 1.8 x 0.6 inches (90 x 45 x 16 millimeters).

Mobile users can find the new TNT!, as of today, via lots of North American retailers, including Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Radio Shack and Target. Starting August 20, the affordable clamshell will also be available online, from Virgin Mobile's official website.
