The Microsoft poetry worth $100,000 will have a store-front in New York. Well, in all fairness, the poetry isn't Microsoft's; it belongs to the Mayhem Poets Performance Poetry Group. Microsoft has announced the winner of the Ultimate Challenge contest. The Mayhem Poets Performance Poetry Group are the winners of the grand prize of the IdeaWins contest, and as such, will receive $100,000 in startup capital, a New York storefront with no rent for the first year and an entire range of software and services to help the business get off the ground.

The Ultimate Challenge contest was a Microsoft initiative aimed at small business across America, designed to identify the freshest idea with the largest potential and back it up. "The Mayhem Poets, from Jersey City, N.J., plan to open a spoken-word performance workshop and caf? that celebrates multiculturalism through education and workshops for children of all ages. At night, the caf? will turn into an open-mike space for spoken-word performances," revealed Microsoft.

Kyle Sutton, of the Mayhem Poets Performance Poetry Group, stated that he is very excited because Microsoft will give him a chance to bring his performance art to NY. But Sutton is not done as yet. This because Microsoft will continue to track his progress in becoming a successful small business owner.

While designed to come across the best small business idea in America, the contest was also a way of pushing Microsoft Office Accounting 2007. The software is delivered with a free license and with 90 days of free support.
