The device is waterproof and dustproof

French manufacturer Logic Instrument, has just announced that it's Tetra T-Pad PDA has been approved by Federal Communications Commission.

Featuring an Intel XScale PXA263 400MHz processor and a high resolution (480 x 640) VGA LCD touchscreen sunlight readable display as standard, the T-Pad rugged mobile computer incorporates a variety of communications options including USB, modem, Ethernet, WiFi, GPRS, Bluetooth and GPS to allow maximum flexibility to users. Designed to deal with the toughest field assignments, the T-Pad enclosure is rated as waterproof and dustproof to IP65 and full complies with MIL-STD-810F for shock, vibration and temperatures.

The device supports both CF and SD slots for expanding the available memory (64 MB). It weighs about 600 grams, and it can withstand temperatures from -20?C to +50?C (-4?F to +85?F). Using the popular Microsoft Windows CE.NET embedded operating system enables professional Tpad users to readily develop and tailor their own custom applications. The T-Pad is available with a desk and vehicle mounted docking station to extend its versatility to numerous mobile applications.
