They are set apart by the qualify difference between their mechanical switches

Mechanical keyboards are almost always made for gamers, and this holds true for the Lobera G5NL and Lobera Supreme that Tesoro has just released. That's not even their only asset actually.

Indeed, it would have been a hard sell if mechanical switches were the only advantage of the newcomers, given their prices of €79 - €119 / $79 - $119.

In truth, the newcomers, both of them, also have instant 5 profiles shift keys, 3 thumb keys for macros (300 macro keys) and an adjustable color illumination system.

The color and intensity of the key backlight can be adjusted to one of 16.8 million colors. You can even set up different key “zones,” painting your keyboard like a rainbow if you want (the Lobera Supreme is apparently better at this).

It's the same principle as on monitors/TVs: take RGB (red, green and blue) colors and combine them in different measures to render other hues.

Moving on, both keyboards have one touch Game Mode button (fast switching), one touch instant record button (for macro creation in real time) and generally fully programmable keys.

Furthermore, Switchable USB 6 N-Key / Full N-Key Rollover is present on both (so the peripheral won't choke when too many keys are pressed at once).

Thus, besides the color adjustability on the Lobera Supreme, only the mechanical switches set the newcomers apart.

The Supreme has Gaming grade mechanical key switches (Blue, Black, Brown and Red) with 50 million key actuation, while the Lobera G5NL has mechanical A-Like keycaps with 10 million key actuation.

Finally, Tesoro's new keyboards are compatible with Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 operating systems and boast anti-slip design rubberized bottom stands.

Both newcomers will be available in Europe in January 2014. Maybe they'll even show up in Las Vegas, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2014).
