14 DAY TRIAL // Only recently, Tesla Motors revealed the exact location of six of the many state-of-the-art charging stations it plans on installing both in the US, and in several parts of Europe and Asia.
According to the map on Tesla Motors official website, these six locations are as follows: Barstow, Los Angeles, Tejon Ranch, Harris Ranch, Gilroy and Folsom.
Those who happen to be familiar with the map of the US must have noticed that, by choosing these six locations as appropriate places to get a Supercharger station up and running, Tesla Motors allows Model S owners to travel through California, parts of Nevada and Arizona without having to worry about the time-costs of their journey.
This is because, as this company explains, one such charging station is basically the equivalent of “an adrenaline shot for your battery.”
In other words, charging one's EV at one of these stations is done in an incredibly short amount of time.
Speaking from a strictly environmental standpoint, not only do these Supercharger stations stand to up the popularity of Tesla's Model S amongst customers worldwide, but apparently the electricity needed in order to get the car's engine once again ready for the road is generated with the help of photovoltaic installations.
Up until now, the decision to opt for an EV such as Model S meant that one quit polluting the environment by no longer burning run-off-the-mill fuels so as to travel over long distances.
However, by using electricity not produced in an environmentally friendly manner to power the new vehicle, the ecological footprint of the driving experience pretty much remained the same, sources explain.
On the other hand, such Supercharger stations green up the driving experience from beginning till end.
Apparently, as many as 110 Tesla Superchargers will be operating in the US by the year 2015, and all will be capable of delivering half a charge in just 30 minutes or so.
As the company puts it, “It’s time to take the next step. Model S is a game-changing car. Now you can travel the country in a game-changing way.”
