As the most popular holiday of the year approaches, scammers will rely on it to spread their money making schemes. This time, Tesco is allegedly offering free vouchers for a Christmas shopping spree.

Facecrooks shows the hoax which is spreading on Facebook walls like the plague in the Dark Ages.

“As it's coming up to Christmas we have decided to give away, Free £170 Worth of Tesco Vouchers,” reads the message seen in ads.

Once the link from the alert is clicked, the user is urged to share the message with his friends if he wants the prize.

Naturally, after the hoax is shared, a fake survey appears, promising members easy ways to make money online.

Warn all your friends to stay away from such scams as the survey sites will pay the crooks an amount of money for each user they redirect to their page.
