If you ever dreamed of losing weight but still getting to enjoy a sweet treat, now’s your chance. Tesco has launched a caramel-flavored mousse that not only is low in calories but also claims to encourage weight loss.

Enter Bio-Synergy’s Skinny Mousse, now available in the UK. The caramel version has only 60 calories and is believed to be good for weight loss – and for the health too.

A chocolate version of the mousse is now in the making and will probably clock in at 90 calories or so, Just-Food reports.

“The caramel-flavored Skinny Mousse dessert has 60 calories and the retailer said contains a natural product that is ‘said to help suppress sugar cravings.’ Tesco will also sell a chocolate variety, which contains 90 calories,” the e-zine says.

The Skinny Mousse is believed to be many a dieter’s answer to their sweet cravings, which, on more than one occasion, have been known to wreck a diet.

Plus, it contains one ingredient that will actually encourage weight loss, so eating it would be like getting the best of both worlds, it has been claimed.

“The Skinny Mousse desserts contain the mineral chromium, which Tesco said has been the subject of numerous studies and clinical trials and has been approved by the European Food Safety Authority as a food supplement,” Just-Food writes.

“Chromium has been found to regulate blood sugar levels, which in turn reduces cravings for sweet foods, Tesco explained,” notes the publication.

In other words, if all this is true, eating the Skinny Mousse would be a dieter’s wildest dream come true.

“We believe that these two Skinny Mousse desserts will be the lowest calorie, commercially-made treats available across the UK. Apart from giving the figure-conscious a guilt-free treat the dessert is also believed to be the first food to contain a mineral that helps reduce sugar cravings,” a Tesco spokesperson says of the new offering.
