Tesco’s Hudl tablet has been launched last year and since then the slate has received a lot of praise for offering a decent bundle of specs for a very attractive price.

But some users have been complaining of screen responsiveness issues that render the tablet almost unusable.

According to Engadget, owners that have been plagued by the problems will surely be happy to know Tesco is currently rolling a bunch of new Android updates for the Hudl that will hopefully fix the pesky issues.

Tesco said it has started rolling out the updates this week, but note it might take up to three weeks for the issue-fixing update to reach all Hudl customers.

So far, Tesco has been replacing the affected devices without asking too many questions, but this practice should go out of order once the new Android updates will be installed by affected owners.

According to Tesco the updates have received Google certification and are on their way to some lucky owners as we speak.

In related news, Tesco is working on a more powerful successor to the Hudl tablet, which will arrive with a 8.2-inch FHD display (1920 x 1200 resolution) and draw power from an Intel 1.83GH quad-core Z3735.
