Tesco is ready to roll out the successor

At the beginning of this month, retail giant Tesco said it would reveal its second-gen Hudl tablet soon.

It also said the company would not be perusing its smartphone ambitions anymore, because they realized the handset market is way too competitive for them to stand a real chance.

As Engadged now reports, they have received an invitation to an event from Tesco with the hashtag #Letshudl, so it’s pretty obvious what the company has planned.

The event will be taking place October 3, so that’s just a week or so from now. In anticipation of the event, Tesco has set up a colorful banner on its website, inventing us to sign up to get a sneak peek of the Hudl 2.

We have already registered and we’re awaiting the company’s feedback to report back to you.

You might remember that a while back the Hudl 2 showed up in the lofty GFXBenchmark database revealing some of its possible specifications.

As you can expect, everything has been improved compared to the original Hudl model. The new tablet should arrive with an 8.2-inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, which is better than the market average.

The powerhouse of the tab will be a 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Z3735D processor fitted with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

Hopefully, the Hudl 2 will maintain the low price that made it famous in the first place.
