Normally, people are terrified by cemeteries, but this private burial ground on the western side of Hong Kong is one of the most breathtaking sights you'll see. Located in the Pok Fu Lam neighborhood of the island, this amazing terraced cemetery includes both graves and columbaria and is built into the mountainside.

It's known locally as the Chinese Christian Cemetery because it's operated by the Hong Kong Chinese Christian Churches Union, and lies between Pok Fu Lam Road at the top and Victoria Road near the bottom, offering an unobstructed view of Sandy Bay.

According to the Amusing Planet, this unique graveyard consists of terraces on the hillside, interconnected with staircases, making it a magnificent view from afar, as its terraced structure makes it look like an outdoor amphitheater.

There are gravestones indicating burials at the Pok Fu Lam Road Cemetery dating back to 1886, but there are voices who claim its construction began in 1909. Either way, the burial place was built from the higher contours of the mountain and it expanded downwards towards Victoria Road.

Given that Pok Fu Lam Cemetery is a privately owned memorial park, only recognized members of the church have access to application for grave space in this amazing place.
