14 DAY TRIAL // There's still no news on the topic of who will be directing and who will be starring in the new “Terminator” series, but at least Paramount, Skydance Productions, and Annapurna Pictures were courteous enough to release the due date for the first movie in this standalone trilogy: June 26, 2015.
The Verge reports that Laeta Kalogridis (“Avatar”) and Patrick Lussier (“Drive Angry”) will be the ones writing the screenplay. Shooting should start in January 2014.
Fans of the previous “Terminator” movies will be glad to hear that Arnold Schwarzenegger will probably star in the new trilogy – if not in all the three movies, then at least in the first one.
“I’m very happy that the studios want me to be in Terminator 5 and to star as the Terminator, which we start shooting in January,” the actor reportedly told his fans on June 13.
Oddly enough, the studios did not mention anything about Arnold Schwarzenegger's involvement in this trilogy when going public with the release date, so one might want to add just a pinch of salt to that piece of information.
