Actress Teri Hatcher had a shock after being the victim of a fashion disaster, minutes before she was set to hit the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet. The "Desperate Housewives" actress spilled champagne all over her gown while heading to the SAG ceremony.
When the limousine that was taking her to the important event suddenly did a sharp turn, the actress found a full glass of champagne tumbling onto her pink chiffon Vera Wang dress. "The chiffon color suddenly turned maroon - a nightmare scenario", Teri said.
In order to correct the look of her outfit, the panicked star needed to dry out her soaked dress with whatever she had available, so she asked the driver to turn on the heat to the maximum level. "All the heat is coming out of all the vents and three of us have got my dress, holding it over the heaters in the back of the car. And it worked! It totally dried by the time I got up to the thing (red carpet) and I was fine!" Teri Hatcher remembered.
What a terrible disaster would have been if she didn't have the idea with the heater of the car! The tabloids would have been delighted to shoot the actress with the spoiled gown and to make big news about it.
