14 DAY TRIAL // A new firmware has been released for Teradek's Cube video encoder. Version 6.2.4 brings new features and bug fixes.
According to the release notes that come with this new update, features like DHCP hostname registration have been added. Along with that is the improved ZiXi streaming, which got the rates up by 8 Mbps in ZiXi Broadcaster and 4.5 Mbps for Cube Decoder.
The blue line that appeared when streaming from a 1080i50 HDMI source has been fixed, as well as the ZiXi decoder that now reconnects even after being disconnected for a long period.
Another bug that got fixed by this new firmware is the 1080i video scaled to 480 with the deinterlacer. This feature is claimed to start and function properly after updating.
Long-term RTMP streaming has been improved as well.
