14 DAY TRIAL // The amazingly popular Temple Run game for iOS and Android has been downloaded more than 2.5 million times on App Store, Google Play Store and Amazon Appstore on December 25.
Keith Sheperd, founder of Imangi Studios, creators of Temple Run, recently confirmed the information on his Twitter account. Keith said the game was downloaded more than 1 million times on iOS.
In addition, Temple Run for Android was downloaded over 1 million times on Google Play Store and more than 500,000 times via Amazon Appstore. Those 2.5 million downloads were achieved on December 25 alone, so the numbers are much higher now.
The reason behind the sudden surge in downloads is the fact that many smartphones and tablets were gifted this Christmas and the new owners wanted to try them out and downloaded the most popular apps and games.
