Now that new PC hardware has merrily debuted and drawn attention, it is time for PC cases to also get some coverage of their own, and SilverStone decided on one that quite literally has some weight.

When hearing about a chassis made of aluminum, one would expect it to weigh far less than one made of steel or some other such metal.

Apparently, SilverStone's new Temjin series member, dubbed TJ11, is something of an oddity in this case, weighing a full 17.4 kg.

It is a big tower meat to house even the largest motherboards and the longest and thickest video cards currently in existence.

Thus, it measures 224 (W) x 642 (H) x 657 (D) and has quite a few drive bays and fans, among other things.

For example, one can distinguish nine exposed 5.25-inch bays, which can accommodate ODDs (optical disk drives), fan controllers, drive cages and other accessories.

On the inside, six 3.5-inch bays exist, as well as a trio of 2.5-inch bays, leading to the possibility of creating a configuration with more storage than one could possibly need.

Additionally, a front I/O panel provides not just the obligatory USB 2.0 and audio ports, but also two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connectors.

Cooling tasks are also quite well carried out by five fans that are installed by default, the biggest of them measuring 180mm in diameter (Air Penetrator AP181) and operating at 700 to 1,200 RPM (rotations per minute).

Two of the other spinners are 120mm AP121 models, with a speed of 1,200 RPM, while the last one is a 900 RPM fan, also of 120mm.

All in all, this enclosure should prove quite an option for high-end computers once it starts shipping on January 26.

The SilverStone Temjin TJ11 is set to start out with a price tag of 559.90 Euro (for the model with a side window).
