Australian wireless carrier Telstra has finally officially confirmed a release date for the Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone on its network.

The operator took it to Twitter to announce that the device would become available through its online and brick-and-mortar stores on October 15.

“The Nokia Lumia 1020 will be available online & in-store from 15 Oct. By ordering online you will receive a free camera grip worth $89.95 [€62.24],” the company said.

Lumia 1020 was initially set to be launched on Telstra’s network in September, but the carrier delayed its release due to a series of software issues.

The handset features a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and 2GB of RAM. It also features 32GB of internal memory, a 41-megapixel camera on the back, and Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system loaded on top.
