Bad news for Telstra customers, as the Australian carrier will not be offering the Nokia Lumia 1020 as promised. Moreover, the network operator had to cancel al Lumia 1020 pre-orders due to a software issue that has yet to be detailed.

Telstra informed its customers who had pre-ordered the Lumnia 1020 that they had to postpone “the in-store and online launch date for the Nokia Lumia 1020 as we expect to receive new software, which we will review.”

Sadly, blog site TechAu reports that things didn’t work out as expected and the carrier had to cancel all Nokia Lumia 1020 pre-orders and offer a compensation to those who had pre-purchased the smartphone in the form of a free Lumia 520.

Although there are no details on the issue that has caused the carrier to cancel Lumia 1020 pre-orders, the problem may lie on Telstra's side, given the fact that the smartphone is now selling
