Telltale Games will release episodic titles from two of NBC Universal's most famous franchises, Jurassic Park and Back to the Future. NBC Universal's representative, Bill Kispert, said that his company was interested in bringing the properties to the interactive-entertainment industry, but it did not want to do a first-person shooter, as this genre would not fit with the movies.

The Chief Executive Officer of Telltale Games, Dan Connors, commented that, “Telltale Games has always set out to be a great storytelling company. We’ve been honing our chops over the past six years, and we’re ready to take on these two iconic properties and continue to advance storytelling in games.”

He also continued to say that, “The games are going to exist within these worlds. I wouldn’t call these games sequels per se but a new interpretation of their worlds for a new medium. For one generation, it’s an introduction to these series. For another generation, it’s a thing they can look back on and something they can share warmly with their family and friends.”

Telltale Games is responsible for the remakes of the classic adventure-game series Sam & Max and Monkey Island. These initiatives were successful and many fans of the series praised the developer for the careful and faithful take-on the franchises. No details have been released about the new games yet, other than the fact that they would be available for the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3, the Nintendo Wii, the PC and the Mac sometime this winter.

However, we can speculate that they will be released as seasons containing six episodes, the same as in the case of the Sam & Max and the Tales of Monkey Island. The developer is promising that it will create cinematic adventures for both the Jurassic Park and Back to the Future that will deliver what made the films great.
