Sofia Digital has launched a year ago the concept of Teletext for mobile TV. Now, it brings Mobile Digitext, which is an evolved software that fully adapts the Teletext functions to the performances and reduced sizes of mobile phones.

Mobile Digitext is designed especially for smartphones that are capable of mobile TV rendering. This software brings several appealing functions that might be appreciated by those that prefer to receive their information from the Teletext rather than any other sources.

Sofia Digital's solution brings a customizable browser for an easier access to the most important available data. The browser's content can be delivered on the user's smartphone via broadcast or return channel. Existing content management systems are integrated in open interfaces. Moreover, the users have the possibility of editing tools for content management and content creation.

The browser supports reusable templates and is highly adaptable to the user's preferences, as it leaves space for customizing according to personal preferences. Moreover, it uses open standards such as XML, XHTML, CSS and HTTP. All these contribute to a fast and reliable return of the information content.

Mobile Digitext is actually designed to work together with DVB-H digital TV services that are provided for mobile phones. The Teletext pages come either by TV broadcast, or through the phone's 3G connection.

Sofia Digital is a company that provides broadcasters and operators solutions for delivering digital TV content and complex services on STB and mobile phones.

Still, a mobile phone that comes equipped with a TV will most probably also have an evolved browser with top speed connectivity. If this is so, why not use the fast Internet connection and instead prefer to obtain information from Teletext? Still, Sofia Digital probably relies on those old fashioned Teletext nostalgics that now own a top performance handset, most recently released. Are there any?
