A developer who is working on Namco Bandai has stated that the company is taking into account the possibility of launching a version of Tekken x Street Fighter on the PlayStation Vita handheld from Sony.

In a dialog with a fan of the series on Twitter Katsuhiro Harada, who is the producer working on the game, has said, “I’m considering now” whether a Vita version of the game would be worth doing.

Capcom has already confirmed that Street Fighter x Tekken will be out on the PlayStation Vita later during the year.

The Capcom made game will be the first one out of the game and Namco Bandai is probably waiting to see what it has to offer before fully committing to the development of Tekken x Street Fighter, which at the moment has a launch date set for 2013.

The two games will have the same characters but will use publisher specific fighting mechanics.
