Producer Katsuhiro Harada has assured fans that Bandai Namco's mashup fighting game, Tekken X Street Fighter, is still in the making and still going to come out at some point.

The news comes from the San Diego Comic-Con, where Harada, responding to a fan asking for an update on the state of the Tekken and Street Fighter franchises mash-up video game, has said that the title is "still in development and still moving forward."

The first time that the Tekken X Street Fighter project was mentioned was back in 2010. Since then, the Capcom variant of the title, Street Fighter X Tekken, has already allowed gamers to explore what would happen, should Ryu and Jin meet in a confrontation that follows the rules of the SF series.

Harada has mentioned that with all the fighting game that the development team has been involved in, games such as Tekken Revolution, Soulcalibur: Lost Swords, Rise of Incarnates, Tekken 7, they just have to find the right timeframe to release it.

"It is proceeding. It hasn't been canceled, so please relax," Harada has said, as quoted by Polygon.

Many people prefer the way that the fighter in the Tekken series moves and would like to get even with Ryu and Ken on a more familiar playing field. Apparently, they will get their wish, but they will just have to be more patient.
